Hi there! My name is Mark and I am currently residing in Singapore with my family. I work as a Senior Digital Producer in a digital production company. I was born and raised in the Philippines.

I am spontaneous, witty and “easy-to-deal-with” kind of person unless you are not making any sense.  I love sharing my thoughts and experiences to other people especially to those who are in need.

My daughter, Maxine Dashley is my eldest kid.  She’s very smart, sweet, adorable and I must say a fighter too. Many people were saying that she looks like her mom, and I couldn’t argue about it anymore. But I find it awesome when I see some of my characteristics in her. I’ll do my best to guide her and to become a good and loving father so that she will grow up as a disciplined and God-fearing person.  I’ll promise to always keep her safe and healthy.

My wife, Debbie Rachelle is a loving, caring and family-oriented person. She always supports me on my hobbies and interests. She’s also an honest and faithful woman which I find it rare nowadays.  I will love and take care of her as much as I do with myself.

My son, Matthew Daniel is one of the greatest blessings that came to my life. This time, he’s like a mini version of me. LOL!  He’s very cute and lovable.

Last but not the least is my mother and my two siblings who are always there for me when I needed them the most. They taught me how to be a strong person and to always keep my feet onto the ground. Without them, I wouldn’t be in my position now.

I have more than 10 years of experience in modern, effective, and creative web/graphic designs. Well-versed on art directing and project managing. I’m a good team player and able to work independently. A versatile, fast learner, and initiative person with high-level of attention to details.

Adobe Creative Suite is my “Tools of the Trade”.  I’ve been using Adobe Photoshop since 1998 and it became very useful for me not only when I am designing but also editing my photographs together with Adobe Lightroom.

Due to current web technology’s demand, I started designing responsive template for various website projects. It give users a flexibility and ease of navigating their websites using different platforms.

I’m also a self-confessed tech geek. My first personal computer was an Intel 586 last 1995. I started assembling and customizing my own desktop PC around 2005. I used to build advanced CPU, overclocking, benchmarking and troubleshooting as well. I already sold my desktop PC and good old ASUS ROG gaming laptop and bought myself an Aftershock laptop.

Razer Abyssus v2

This is the most comfortable gaming mouse I ever used. Using 5,000 DPI optical sensor and a in-mould rubber grip for optimum control.

Razer Kraken Pro v2

Using this awesome gaming headset. The ear pads are quite comfortable even for a longer period of time. The bass and clarity are just nice. It has a built-in mic, volume controller. The cable is thick, durable and long enough.

Seagate Backup Plus 4TB

I got two of this storage drive dedicated for all my Full HD movie collection. It is using USB 3.0 for faster data transferring. For more info about this product, click here.

StarHub 1 gbps Home Fibre Broadband

I’m a subscriber of StarHub Home Fibre Broadband for only S$49.90/month and I am getting the speed that I paid for.  There’s no capped bandwidth and I’m satisfied with the overall performance.

My kind of music are R&B / Hip-hop, Alternative, Pop, and House Trance. I used to listen to heavy metal music when I was 13 years old.  Those bands that I clearly remembered were Metallica, Megadeath, Pearl Jam, Guns & Roses, Nirvana, Pantera, and Alice in Chains.  I also used to be hooked up with “New Wave” music when I was in College.

a-Jays Three

a-Jays Three is my daily earphone especially when I’m going to work. First impression; sleek and trendy. It has a massive bass and awesome clarity.

The wire is quite thick and tangle-free, so it must be durable enough compare to a normal wires which are very thin that can be easily break. The package includes several ear pad sizes to choose from.

I started doing photography as my hobby last 2010 and I’m more interested doing landscape, street, and travel photography.  I’ve used quite a few DSLR cameras such as Canon 500D, 7D, and 650D.  But now, I switched to GoPro Hero4 Silver and sold all my DSLR stuff including bags and filters.

I made my choice to sell all my DSLR stuff and switch to GoPro Hero4. I bought this last July 3, 2015 and I was amazed about its capabilities and features.  Being mounted to almost anywhere is really awesome and image quality is superb!

Since I started this expensive but life fulfilling hobby, I would like to share my photo collection with you. So sit back, relax and take a bit of your time to view my humble photographs.

I’ve been gaming for over 25 years since my childhood. I used to play Atari, Family Computer, Super Nintendo, Sega, Arcades, and now a hardcore PC gamer. For me, playing video games is not really a waste of time, unless that’s the only thing you’re going to do for the rest of your life. Aside from being one of my stress relievers, it also enhances my reflexes, logical and strategical thinking especially when I’m playing first person shooter and real-time strategy.

Top 4 PC games I played

  • Battlefield 4
  • Starcraft
  • Hitman Absolution
  • Sleeping Dogs

When it is time to relax at home, I usually spend my time watching movies.  I love to watch action, sci-fi, comedy, and selected drama movies.

Movies I recently watched

  • John Wick Chapter 2
  • Spider-man : Home Coming
  • War for the Planets of the Apes
  • 47 Meters Down
  • Transformers
  • Alien Covenant
  • Baywatch
  • The Mummy
  • Wonder Woman
  • Resident Evil Vendetta
  • Life
  • Fate of the Furious 8

Golden Village is my favourite cinema theatre in Singapore. I watched over 100 movies there since 2007.

Cycling is my favorite sports and I learned how to ride a bike when I was 5 years old.  At the age of 12, I started to roam around our village and other nearby villages too. At the age of 14, I began to go with my friends who were also a bike enthusiasts.  I got hooked up on customizing our bikes and buying expensive gears.  We used to meet each other to go biking up to Antipolo City (a higher ground city) for exercise.

Biker Mice

This vintage photo of me and my brother was taken in our garage in year 1997.  He was the one who trained and encouraged me to boost my endurance and improve my biking skills.

My Bike

This is my good-old mountain bike. It has a Shimano gear set and Araya aluminum rim. Unfortunately, it is now rusty and not well-taken care off since I left my hometown for abroad.

GT Aggressor

Bought this last December 28, 2014 as a Christmas present for myself.

What else is more exciting than travelling? I have been to some places outside the country and I am looking forward to visit European countries in the near future with my family. I love to see and experience different cultures and meet different people.

Hong Kong - 07.2014

Hong Kong is one of the Asian countries that is worth revisiting.  There are so many places to go like Disneyland, Ocean Park, Victoria Peak, Avenue of Stars, Ngong Ping 360, Temple Street night market, Clock tower any many more.  We spent 4 days here and we really had a great time. Unfortunately, we were not able to see all the good sites inside Disneyland because of the hot weather.  So the best time to go to Disneyland is winter season.  We rented an apartment somewhere in Hong Kong central.  The place is clean, cosy and very near to amenities.  It is only around $100/night which we find quite cheap considering that you can cook and do laundry like it is your own house. I miss Hong Kong and we will definitely pay a visit again next time.

Bali, Indonesia - 05.2014

Been in Bali for 4 days and it was tiring yet still an enjoyable vacation with my family.  We stayed in 3 different hotels which were Febri’s Hotel & Spa, Centra Taum Resort and Park Regis.  We were not that flexible to go from place to place and did not managed to visit their other historical architectures and temples.

I actually lost my wallet in Bali’s International Airport.  I didn’t expect that there will be someone who has a good heart to return my wallet back without getting any amount of my money or even my credit card.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - 07.2013

This was actually our second time in KL, Malaysia. Our first time here was last March 2010. If you are up to shopping and eating, you’ll definitely like this place.  We stayed in Impiana Hotel which is actually just beside the Petronas Tower. The hotel price is above average because it is a 4 star hotel and we didn’t mind booking it since we had a bad hotel experience from our first visit.  The transportation is not that convenient and taxi cab fare is quite expensive.  It is better if you know someone living or working here who has his/her own car so you can roam around the city with hassle-free.

Malacca, Malaysia - 05.2011

Malacca or also known as “Melaka” in Bahasa Melayu is like a province of Malaysia.  You will see a lot of their historical places and structures here.  The food is cheap compared to KL and you have to try their Hainanese Chicken rice and Nasi Lemak.  We stayed on a hostel and it is not that nice as expected but still OK. I think 1 day is enough to spend your time roaming around the place.

Phuket, Thailand - 05.2011

Phuket is one of the nicest beach resorts that we visited in Asia. The hotel was also nice, clean and has a reasonable price. The local foods really taste great compared to thai food here in Singapore. The people there are hospitable and kind.

We purchased a package tour for activities such as elephant trekking, canoeing and island hopping. But it was not that cheap though. The night market there has a lot to offer like souvenirs and cheap apparels. I would recommend Phuket if you want to go for relaxation.

Ayutthaya, Thailand - 05.2011

Ayutthaya is another place in Thailand which is 2 hours away from Bangkok if you go by driving. At first, we wanted to go to the floating market but instead, we booked a tour package going to Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, Wat Mahathat and Wat Lokayasuttharam.

Their old structures are quite interesting and if you are into landscape photography, you may want to consider visiting this place.

Bangkok, Thailand - 05.2011

The city itself is crowded and lots of vendors along the street. The 3 star hotel that we booked is decent enough and it comes with a free breakfast meal. The local people there are nice and accommodating. This time, we didn’t book any tour package and we decided to explore on our own.

The food and clothing there are quite cheap. If you are fond of shopping and eating, this is the place to be!

Krabi, Thailand - 04.2011

This was our first shortest vacation because we only had 2 days and 1 night to optimize our schedule and do as much activities as we can. The hotel was also quite nice and near to amenities. We also purchased a package tour from nearby travel & tour office. We went for an island tour going to Tup, Poda, Chicken, and Phranang Island. Guess what? We climbed the 1,237 steps of the Tiger Cave Temple until our legs became numb and shaking on its own. But finally, we did it on top. The night market was not what we were expecting and it was too crowded. Foods and stuffs there are quite expensive compared to Bangkok, but I would say that Krabi is still worth a visit.

Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam - 05.2011

There’s nothing much to do in this city, but to taste their local foods, and maybe visit their museum, old structures and temples. Our hotel was quite decent and breakfast meal was also included. You must also have a good skill to cross the street because there’s a heavy traffic of motorcyclist in the road everywhere. If you intend to go here, I think one day is enough. Just a tip, don’t wear clothes that has a flag of USA in it. Some of the locals there still hates American because of the war.

Bintan, Indonesia - 02.2011

Bintan is like 30-45 minutes away from Singapore via Ferry boat. This was our company trip last 2011. The beach is just normal and I couldn’t compare to our very own Boracay.  We stayed in Angsana Hotel and it is freaking expensive.  Luckily I only paid half our bill. LOL.  It was a good experience though and I hope we can visit this place again some time.

Macau, China - 09.2010

Macau is like a mini Las Vegas. If you love going to Casinos, this is the place for you! The hotel is quite nice and has a reasonable price. We visited some of the popular destinations there and just took our photos. Most of the people there don’t speak English at all and you might have some difficulties in communicating with them especially in food places and stores along the street.
