How to root your Samsung Galaxy S3

Warning: You really need to follow the instruction carefully and make sure that you backup all your data before proceeding.

STEP 1: Download Odin from this link
and extract to your desktop.

STEP 2: Open the folder of Odin307 and install Odin3 v3.07.exe by selecting “Run as Administrator”.

STEP 3: In your mobile phone, go to Settings > Developer options, enable it and check USB debugging.

STEP 4: Turn off your mobile phone and turn it on by holding the 3 buttons ( Volume down + Home + Power button ) until you see the warning and press Volume up button to continue to the Download mode screen.

STEP 5: Plug your mobile phone to your computer using the data cable. In your Odin3 application, the ID:COM will turn into light blue color. Make sure the Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time are both checked.

STEP 6: Click the PDA button, browse CF-Auto-Root folder and select CF-Auto-Root-m0-m0xx-gti9300.tar.md5

Make sure the file is correct then click Start button.

Wait for a few minutes, and you will see these screens.

From my experience, I saw RESET status.

When I unlocked my mobile phone, it became PASS status.

You’re done! 🙂

To check if you rooted your Samsung Galaxy S3 successfully, go to Play Store and install Root Checker.

Press “Check” and you will see the Root Access says “access granted”
